Outrageous Puppeterians Team
Supported By: Worship & Music Committee
Its Mission: To serve God in a creative
and fun way through our puppet ministries. To come together as a team to worship and praise and
share our message with others in an exciting and inspirational way -
through puppets, sign language and stick ministry.
Who May Want To Join: Any youth who are
in Grade 6 and above. Also any adults who would like to help in team
trips or in developing puppets or props.
Activities:
The
puppet team is starting off Year 2006 with some very exciting
events. First we are going to be participating in worship and the
Sunday School kick-off on September 10th. Also look for us in
worship again in October! We are looking forward to sharing many of
the new ideas we received from IFEST this year. We again had a great
week at IFEST where we had a large group of kids participating in
classes and learning new ways to praise God creatively with song,
scripture and more! We also came back with a new selection of
puppets which we know will really improve our ability to perform
some new material, maybe even some "blacklight"! The youth involved
in our team have worked very hard this year improving their puppetry
skills and are very excited to share with their congregation their
unique talents and to share their love of God and this ministry with
everyone.
Individual Ministry Opportunities:
Ministry to the congregation in worship services; ministry to each
other, kids and adults, in team activities.

Meetings & Time Commitments: We meet
every Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m. In the fall when we train new
puppeteers, the newest members will meet from 6-7 p.m. and later
join the group from 7-9 p.m. When we are preparing for Regionals in
spring or IFest in summer, additional practices are added. We are
away for a short weekend - usually the first weekend in March for
Regionals and IFest is a week or a long weekend in the summer -
usually July.
