CAST
(Christians Acting, Singing, Tolling) Group
Supported By:
Worship & Music Committee
Its Mission:
Provide opportunities for
Jr.-high and Sr.-high students to participate in worship service in
several ways, to learn what worship is, to increase musical
repertoire.
Who May Want To Join:
Jr. and Sr. high students, parents, others who want to help.
Activities:
In addition to
singing during worship service 1 or 2 times per month, we have put
on a dinner theater
as a fundraiser and we have used sign language
and drama
in several
worship services. We also have a hand bell group.
Individual Ministry Opportunities:
Many of
these singers have the opportunity for solos, duets and small
ensembles and even leading of worship. This can contribute greatly
to confidence building and growth in leadership skills. Those who
assist these young people in rehearsals and services can make a very
positive influence in the young people’s lives.
Meetings & Time Commitments:
Rehearsals are on
Sunday evenings 5:30-7:00 PM, September through April. Singing
during worship services 1 to 2 times per month and in Christmas and
Easter services, and in regional/national festivals or seminars. And
we will occasionally do a fundraiser event such as a dinner theater.
