Come Worship at Oswego Presbyterian Church

Oswego Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), www.pcusa.org -- the largest Presbyterian body in North America. We have a rich history in what is called the Reformed Tradition of Christianity and share beliefs that are held in common with many Christians throughout the world.

We proclaim Christ as Lord and Savior, lay claim to the power of the Holy Spirit and worship a sovereign God of Love. We are ecumenical – which means we work together with other denominations in order to honor the unity of the Body of Christ, His Church. We proclaim forgiveness every week in our worship services and live our lives outside the church in ways that demonstrate Christ as Lord. We celebrate the holy sacraments of Baptism and Communion, welcoming all God’s children into our midst. We serve, we pray, we laugh, we sing, we work, we praise. Come and see what it’s all about!

2012 Communion Schedule: Feb. 5th, Mar. 4th, April 5th (Maundy Thurs. Eve.), April 8th (Easter Sunrise service), May 6th, May 27th (Pentecost), June 17th, July 15th, Aug. 12th, Sep. 9th, Oct. 7th (World Communion Sunday), Nov. 4th, Dec. 2nd (Advent), Dec. 24th - 7:30 & 11 p.m. (Christmas Eve).

OPC Has a “Cry Room” We always want members to know that children are welcome in our worship celebration—and for the moments when they aren’t quite able to be quiet as a church mouse, we have a chapel/cry room at the back left corner of the sanctuary. The room is equipped with a comfy rocker, Kleenexes and some toys. It’s perfect for the little babies that are just a little fussy but not ready for the nursery!

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES - Our Sunday School classes are at 9:45-10:45 AM. Classes are available for all ages including Newcomers classes and the Word Alive! adult classes (and nursery service is available).

"Old Fashioned Hymn Sings" are suspended for the winter. These gatherings with Rev. Leon will resume on March 28 and will continue monthly on the last Wednesday of each month at 11:00 A.M.  We gather for an hour to sing some "old" favorites, have a five-minute study of "small but important" word themes in the Bible, and have a "verbal offering" where people in attendance may tell about their favorite charity.  The hymn sing concludes with a catered lunch.
