My Starving Children Team

Team Steering Committee
Its
Mission: To organize volunteers to
work with Feed My Starving
Children, a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding
God’s children hungry in body and spirit.
Activities:
The approach is simple: volunteers
-children and adults and families - hand-pack meals specifically
formulated for malnourished children, and ship the meals to nearly 70
countries around the world. The food-packing is done at the FMSC
warehouse in Aurora, just north of Fox Valley Mall.
Recent event:
We had 89 total volunteers helping in our
Nov. 5, 2011 event. In two hours, we packed 107 food boxes having a
total of 23,112 meals, enough to feed 64 children for a whole year.
Help
needed:
We need volunteers
(families, children and adults)
to help
in a future food-packing event. We also
need a few others willing to help in phone calls to solicit volunteers
for a packing event.
