Its Mission:
  To oversee, supervise and support the teams providing classes and learning experiences for all, pre-school through adults, to educate us in the fundamentals of our faith and our responsibilities and opportunities as members in Christ.
Who May Want To Join:
  Someone with good administration skills and a passion for “Christian education”.
Activities: 
The Christian education program here at OPC is continuing to Grow! The descriptions of the various Christian Education teams follow below.
Individual Ministry Opportunities:
  There are many ways anyone of any age can get involved: as a support for other classmates, as a teacher or substitute teacher, as a convener or helper in a class or study group, or as a youth leader. We can also use help at various special events through the year such as the Christmas Program and the Lenten Fair.
Meetings:
  Our committee meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Confirmands' Mentors Team

Supported By:  Christian Education Committee
Its Mission:
  To provide a mentor for each young person in our Confirmation Class.
Who May Want To Join:
  Adults male and female who are willing to commit to this one-to-one mentor ministry.
Activities:
Each m
entor meets with her/his assigned confirmand for about 45 minutes each week for a brief Bible study and personal reflections time.

Women's Bible Study Group

Our Mission:
  Our mission is to offer women a journey of awakening: First, to God as you respond to his love for you; Second, to yourself as you embrace your identity as a woman, your gifts and your dreams; Third, to others as you learn to love and communicate in ways that promote joy and closeness.
Who May Want To Join:
  Women (all ages).
Activities:
 Join us in our study of the FRESH BREWED LIFE, by Nicole Johnson,  Sundays, during the Sunday School hour.
Meetings & Time Commitments:
  The class meets Sundays during the Sunday School hour (9:45 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.).

Word Alive! - Adult Sunday School Class

Supported By:  Christian Education Committee 
Its Mission:
  Word Alive! Is OPC’s Sunday learning activity for adults. Meeting at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday, Word Alive! Is inquisitive, honest, lively, interactive and personal. Our mission is to explore our relationship with God and others as well as attempt to discover His purpose for our lives.
Who May Want To Join:
  Any adult interested in lively discussion of a variety of study topics such as Bible study, contemporary Christian issues , Christian life, Christian history, world religions , mission opportunities, and selected books. The class is designed so one may join at any time.
Current Topic:
We are viewing and discussing the book of Matthew using the Visual Bible—a dramatization using the actual scriptures word-for-word from the NIV Bible. Come check it out!
Individual Ministry Opportunities:
  Opportunities for leadership and missions are encouraged.
Meetings & Time Commitments:
  The class meets Sundays from 9:45 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. (the Sunday School hour).

Passion For Books Team

Supported By:  Christian Education Committee
Its Mission:
  To provide resource materials (books, CD's, and videos) to all libraries in the church for the congregation to check out.
Who May Want To Join:
  Someone with a knowledge of Christian books and materials or anyone who would like to help build the library.
Activities:
  Adopt-A-Book month for the congregation to sponsor a book for the library. We sponsor the annual Joyful Jamboree for the children of the church to spend a Saturday morning doing fun activities at the church.
Individual Ministry Opportunities:
  Help us in the Joyful Jamboree, in maintaining the library or in delivering donated books to Lifespring.
Meetings & Time Commitments:
  The time commitment varies during the year but usually a 1-hour meeting per month and whatever volunteer time a person chooses to donate.
